Hello, and welcome to the inaugural OOC intro for Tamer Union! Please put your name in the subject header and tell us a bit about yourself and your character in the comments in order to introduce yourself!

Date: 2022-03-10 12:51 am (UTC)Nara'a Sunvara here is the Warrior of Light. Or... well, one of them in this game, probably. He's done all the hero stuff and is canon compliant up to the end of Endwalker/6.0, but I'll warn for spoilers if that stuff comes up. He brings with him the ability to use different "jobs" (aka classes) - the three he's got with him are Red Mage (magic boom booms with a melee component), Reaper (a scythe user), and Warrior (big fuckoff axe and self-healing).
His partner is Botamon, and he's a very adorable crybaby of a digimon. He's going to be very excited to meet his tamer! So excited that he might just cry...

He's going to be sticking a magic lighter in peoples' faces to make sure they're not Horrors, which are the things he fights. They're... very body horror monsters.
Fortunately to aid with the friendliness he's got both a digimon (Dodomon) and a magic talking ring (Zaruba) - though the latter isn't likely to talk to people much at first. Still, he's a powerful fighter who will protect humans. ... Other species might take some adjusting.

They're coming from after the Message in a Packet audio drama, which means that somewhere in this Digital world there is an incredibly happy reunion about to happen.
They're here for one more adventure and to make all the friends.

Date: 2022-03-10 01:03 am (UTC)I am bringing you all this gal, Lena Kaligaris from the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants series. Lena is the oldest member and the shy beautiful / artistic one of the Septembers, a group of four girls whose mothers met in a pregnant mothers aerobics class. Despite their mothers losing contact with each other, she and her friends Tibby, Carmen, and Bridget grew closer over the years. One summer, they have to spend their summer break apart for the first time (Lena’s case has her family going to Santorini, Greece to visit relatives) when she and Carmen found a pair of jeans that fits the four girls’ different bodies and they agree to share the Pants and write about how their summers went to.
During her Greece trip, she meets one Kostos Dounas whom she immediately disliked due to her biased opinions on boys and thinking that he was only looking at her as just a pretty girl and him accidentally seeing her skinny-dipping in an olive grove nearly destroyed their grandparents’ friendship (which got lost in the film). She realized what an idiot she was in judging Kostos once she learns more about him and eventually reconciles with her grandparents. Now Lena was supposed to apologize to and confess her feelings to Kostos when she gets dropped into the Digital World. Also she is based on Artemis, the Greek virgin goddess of the hunt and moon, intentionally by Ann Brashares herself.
Her partner is Lunamon and she has literal mom friend vibes all over. She is very polite and kind, but she can kick your behind if you dare to harm her or Lena or make her VERY angry.

Zoki (Seto Kaiba & Petitmon)
Date: 2022-03-10 01:09 am (UTC)Seto Kaiba is...a lot. He's a snobbish and self-assured CEO of a gaming tech company who's agreed to come because he needs the world to be safe for his baby brother. He can cooperate when needed for a goal, and he's agreed to train and help this world, but he isn't the friendliest guy in most circumstances. Fortunately, he has a sweet and kind partner to drag him back into balance!
Kaiba's Digimon partner is Petitmon, a baby dragon blob who will someday grow into a big fierce dragon! She's friendly, curious about the world...and has a habit of chewing shiny objects, so you'll want to hide those around her.

Yuzu is the main heroine of the Arc-V series and she may or may not be grappling with certain issues under the surface... such as memories that aren't hers, but she's fine. She's kind and has a strong sense of justice, but she's also got a temper so like... don't cross her... she'll smack the shit outta you.
Lalamon has similar vibes... kind, but cross her and she'll kick your ass. She looks up to Yuzu almost like one would look up to a big sister!

Date: 2022-03-10 04:09 am (UTC)I'll be bringing you Hajime Aikawa, also known as Kamen Rider Chalice from the series Kamen Rider Blade. Hajime's actually not a human but would really like to be one, so he's just going to go right on pretending to be one until someone calls him out on having green blood or saying something weird because he's still kind of trying to figure out How to Human. He's quiet and can be standoffish, and he's perfectly confident in his own skills in battle. He will be partnered with Cutemon, who is bubbly and talkative and has the ability to heal individuals who might not expect enemy Digimon to hit as hard as they do.

I'm a thirty-ish nerd who never quite managed to fall out of love with Digimon, though obviously I'm big on a few other fandoms including Final Fantasy (surprising nobody), Discworld, Fallout, and a number of others. I, too, am playing a warrior of light, it seems, which I hope isn't going to be too confusing since I've had a bee in my bonnet telling me to play this soft idiot since the moment I finished Endwalker.To get the disclaimer out of the way, I recognize that playing such a character necessarily exerts a certain level of narrative control over any character from the setting- so while I'd be delighted if it were the case, please don't feel like my Warrior of Light must needs be your Warrior of Light. It wouldn't be the first time I've played with alternate versions of a character.
That said! Taiki's a highly emotional viera whose primary skills are white and black magic- with a touch of dark knightery for flavor. He'll be canon-compliant with the end of 6.0 like Nara'a up above, though of course spoilers will be marked ahead of time. Taiki's a hugger, I give you fair warning- trusting and honest to a fault, if possessed of a legendarily short temper around politics and business. His partner is Gazimon, a jaded little bastard who isn't much of a fighter and manages to pretend that he doesn't care about the comings and goings of the world when they don't concern him- even if they totally do. I look forward to playing both of them.

Date: 2022-03-12 01:01 pm (UTC)I am also called Mari, and I'm bringing Ken Ichijouji and Wormmon from Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna! (Try saying that five times fast.) In Ken's original canon he was a
midseason Cureformer villain of the "hurt people hurt people" variety, but eight years of character development have helped him handle that burden in a healthy way.He's considerate and chill, though bold when it comes to stopping evil, and has incredibly boring nerdy hobbies but is cool with that. Ken is a deductive reasoner who appreciates the little things in life, like warm sunshine and vibing with friends, which he never takes for granted. Dear God is he a sap. Final warning.
His partner is Wormmon, who is a clingy wimpy snuggle bug that turns into a Kamen Rider to protect "Ken-chan". Wormmon has also gotten braver and more outgoing in the past eight years, but that just means he is now even MORE of the little sibling who follows you around going "hey hey what are you doing, me too, me toooooo." Ken means the world to him, and vice versa.

I'm a nerd of general broad interests, I work a depressingly high amount of time, midweek my availabilities can be very scarce but weekends are usually free!!
And I'm bringing in Erichthonios. In case of SPOILERS I am not describing him too much by way of location and origins, but he's a well meaning and driven young man with some serious lack of understanding of how mortal society and people live their lives. He's also about thirteen to fifteen feet tall, probably on the higher end of that. His partner is a Guilmon of the x-antibody flavor, and she's feisty, bitey and pretty much what he's used to dealing with back home.

Date: 2022-03-28 07:40 pm (UTC)But I'm Fay and here at Tamer I will be playing Gilbert Nightray from Pandora Hearts and Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket.
Gilbert is one who shows off a completely different personality than the way he legitimately is. Outside he comes across as rather serious and will get the job done no matter what. After all he was trained to kill as an adopted son of the Nightray family. How he is in reality: An awkward guy who is probably the most loyal person to those he cares about. Also has an intense fear of cats so great that he can become pretty useless. So... RIP if he comes across any cat Digimon.
He also comes from the very last chapter but before the time skip so... he is very much having to adapt to the fact he only has one arm due to what he did to end up with one arm in the first place... when I said he is loyal he goes all out, okay.
His Digimon is Muchomon who will of course be Puwamon at the start who is the biggest ball of sunshine and happiness, but is not at all coordinated, but is well meaning. He will be trying to get Gilbert to be more social.
Next up is Tohru. As much as things have happened to her, she keeps up with a smile and determination. Can also be a bit spacey at times and is prone to bouts of not wanting people to worry about her. I mean she lives in a tent for a week for that reason. Will probably be freaking out about being here though but will soon adapt and be ready for a mission of helping her digimon pal who is...
Mokumon to start with but will eventually become Ghostmon. She is friendly and digimon are scared of her, so Tohru is going to try her hardest once the whole...shock wears off to get people and or digimon to not be scared.

Date: 2022-04-01 05:59 am (UTC)Themis is my character. Hailing from the same spoiler filled region as Erichthonios I also won't be going into details here. He is a fair and impartial young man who is not quick to judge; traits recognized by his society even at such a youthful age. Underneath this lies a definite thrill to be on more adventure than he could ever expected. Like Erichthonios, this is the first time dealing with mortals and their society (they arrived here together). He is also within that range of thirteen to fifteen feet of height though noticeably shorter than Erichthonios. Whether this is because he's younger or because he just is a short person is unclear.
Elecmon is his partner. She is curious and inclined to mischief and pranks (though largely harmless). A bit boastful but generally inclined to be helpful at the end of the day. This can lead to her volunteering Themis as a useful tower to climb and look out from a height and a certain overconfidence that size can trump a lot more things than Themis can actually handle currently.
